Shrine Mosque, Springfield, Missouri - cruiserweight contender BJ Flores (27-1-1, 16 KOs) stopped Hugo Pineda (39-6-1, 28 KOs) in the fifth round. Pineda hit the floor in the fourth and took punishment until the fight was stopped. Flores grabs his second win since losing a twelve round decision to then IBO champion Danny Green in Australia. Flores' promoter Don King was in the arena to support his fighter.

In the co-feature, former two division world champion Cory Spinks (38-6, 11 KOs) used his jab, and plenty of movement, to secure a twelve round unanimous decision over Sechew Powell (26-4, 15 KOs). The scores were 115-113, 115-113 and 116-112. Spinks win two in a row since losing to Cornelius Bundrage in five rounds back in August of 2010. Powell drops his second in a row, losing to Bundrage by decision last June.
