Jake “The Problem Child” Paul (6-0) is only getting started.

That is according to his trainer BJ Flores.

The YouTube Star/Influencer passed his toughest test this past Saturday night in Arizona when he outpointed MMA legend Anderson “Spider” Silva. The showdown headlined a pay-per-view card distributed by Showtime.

The fight was close heading into the 8th and final round. A big right hand by Paul sent Silva to the canvas and secured the unanimous decision victory.

With only six pro fights under his belt at the young age of 25, Flores believes that Paul still has a lot of room for growth. He beloved that the Ohio native is is just beginning to scratchy eh surface of his potential.

“Jake has a lot of ability and focus. People that aren’t around when he trains don’t get to see that. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Jake has ability that still hasn’t been by everyone else,” Flores told BoxingScene.com.

After fighting 3 times in 2021, Paul only fought once in 2022 due to the cancellation of his planned August fight against Tommy Fury.

According to Flores, he plans to be more active in 2023 and would like to get back in the ring as soon as possible.

“Hopefully he can be back in February or March.  Jake has zero injuries and is ready to get right back in the ring. Anderson was very tough. He was game. Much respect to the champion,” said Flores.
