There were rumors on Friday that a fight between the highly touted light heavyweight Artur Beterbiev and the accomplished veteran Gabriel Campillo was set for April 4th at the Colisee de Quebec. It would be quite a step up for for boxer who has just seven professional bouts under his belt.

But according to his promoter, Yvon Michel of GYM - "(Campillo) has not signed to fight Beterbiev, yet. We've had discussions about it. It is at the level where it is, now."

Scheduled to headline this card will be fellow light heavyweight Adonis Stevenson, who defends the WBC championship. This show will be televised back to the States but it's not clear on which platform.

"I'm not sure which one, yet. It's not my call," admitted Michel, who said that decision would be up to Al Haymon, who manages Stevenson and has several TV deals.

Beterbiev is coming off a second round stoppage of Jeff Page Jr. in December. Former WBA champion Campillo is a stylish southpaw from Spain. He won all three of his bouts in 2014, most notably he stopped the previously undefeated Thomas Williams in August in five rounds to capture the NABO 175-pound title.

But Michel reiterated - "I don't know where it came from but it's still at the rumors level."
