T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas - In a super middleweight rematch, Bektemir Melikuziev (12-1, 9 KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Gabriel Rosado (26-17-1, 15 KOs).

All three judges saw it 99-91.

Back in June of 2021, Melikuziev suffered the first loss of his career. He dropped Rosado with a body shot in the first round, but then Rosado caught him cold with a single counter-punch to score a sensational knockout in the third round.

This time around, Melikuziev used his boxing ability to outbox and outland Rosado over ten rounds. Rosado had no answers as he was peppered with shots throughout the fight.

Once the fight was over, Rosado made it clear that it was time for him to walk away and retire from the sport.

Melikuziev is looking forward to bigger things in the future.

“In the first fight against Rosado, I underestimated my opponent,” said Melikuziev. “This time, we put the work in during camp. We went through everything. This time, the goal was to showcase my skills, box and punish him as much as possible too.”

“This was the fight that I wanted. This is the fight that I felt like I made a mistake in the first one, and I had this opportunity for revenge on such a big card. It’s a pleasure for me.”
