FANS NEED TO KNOW “FEELING” OF BEING CHEATED!

Bad Decisions in the sport of boxing have many a negative effect on the shorted pugilist. And while I don’t think that Jose Navarro will fall apart emotionally like Jeff Fenech and Luisito Espinosa did after getting burned in WBC title fights against Azumah Nelson and Cesar Soto, the fact that Jose has a loss on what should be an unblemished professional resume is in itself a crime!  The best way I can describe “Getting Robbed” to anybody that has never boxed competitively is like this.  Imagine playing Black Jack and getting an “Ace & a King,” which should be a guaranteed win at 21!  And then getting beat by another player with a pair of “Nines” or 18!

FEEL THE INJUSTICE OF LOSING TO A PAIR OF NINES?

Is that mind-boggling or what?  And as you are coming to grips with what just happened, Casino Security is escorting your broke ass from the card table, just as they do in getting a fighter from the ring to his dressing room.  So what would be going through your mind boxing fans?  I had 21, he had 18, and yet I friggen lost!  As hard as that is to fathom, it is even more difficult for Navarro who while awaiting the eventual Split Decision announcement, Jose knew that he had just won nine of the scheduled 12-three minute heats quite handily.

WBC BROKE CAMEL’S BACK IONS AGO!

The fact that yet another fighter was denied his due in a WBC title fight wasn’t what drove me off my Journalistic perch, no this I have to tell you was a bit personal.  When you watch fighters from the yearling stages to the point where they are fighting for their family’s future, and you witness a Black Jack hand being beaten by a pair of Nines, well nothing could outrage me more!  Having watched Jose box for ribbons and trophies as a teenager, suffice to say this screw job by the WBC impacted me.

JOSE SAYS, “I WON’T TELL PEOPLE I GOT ROBBED!”

“Do you know how that sounds?  I got robbed,” said Navarro on “Ring Talk Radio” Sunday. He added, “No, I don’t like it saying it.  It was my dream to fight for the WBC title and look what happen.  I was in shock when they announced the decision, I still am I guess.  I trained all my life for that fight and…..No, I don’t want to wait until October.  It isn’t easy for me making 115 lbs.  Look Pedro, I want Kawashima right now.  I’m going to call Jose Sulaiman at home.  He’s going to see my bad side believe me.”

PUTTING ALL THE BOXING CROOKS ON TRIAL!

The WBC has one week to rectify this atrocity.  If they choose to instead to let Katsushigie Kawashima defend his belt against anybody other then Navarro, then we will among other things take the WBC into an Internet Courtroom.  The “Boxing Court” will have a Judge and a Jury impaneled.  As the Prosecutor, I will file a 500 word Brief.  The Defendant, or Defendants, they or their representative if they desire can respond with a 500 word Defense Brief.  While the Jury deliberates, you the fans will also be asked to send in your vote be it “Guilty or Not Guilty.”

PENALTY PHASE INVOLVES MUGS ON “WALL OF SHAME!”

If a party is found Guilty in “Boxing Court,” then that persons picture, their crimes, and the penalty, be it for Six Months, or Life +100 years, this will be posted on the “Wall of Shame” section of www.RingTalk.com that is in the developmental phase as I write.  We will also put individuals on Probation if the Judge and Jury feel that is an appropriate manner of discipline.  And before you chuckle at my ideology, this will not only improve boxing, but it will give you fans the opportunity to really be heard en mass.

MOVING THE TAPIA-BENTZ LINE UP!

When I posted my “Schedule, Odds, & Predictions,” for the latter part of January, I had listed ex-champion Johnny Tapia a 2-1 favorite over (36-3-2) Nicky Bentz in a dime set for the featherweight limit this Saturday night in Hidalgo, TX.  Then my guy tells me Tapia is a solid 129 lbs., and that Johnny is talking plenty of lucid s*it!  In other words, once again Johnny is focused 100% on boxing as he makes a move towards what Tapia hopes will be a title shot and coronation at 122 lbs.  Having been belted initially at 115 lbs., Tapia has in addition held titles at 118 & 126 lbs.  The line is 3 ½ to 1 Tapia.  EVEN money it “Does/Doesn’t” go the distance.

PEOPLE KEEP ASKING WHO IS HENRY BRUSSELES?

Although he has only lost twice in 24 fights with one Draw, Puerto Rican Henry Bruseles is a “Tomato Can” when he’s matched up against the likes of Floyd Mayweather Jr.  Unbeaten in 31 scraps with 21 shorts, the former titleholder at 130 & 135 lbs., Floyd sparred ten 4.5 minute rounds recently with amazing grace and stamina for a contingent of Media folks.  Back to Bruseles, having watched him lose to Ernie Nava a couple of years ago at 135 lbs., I have take back what I said about him being a “Tomato Can.”  More like “Tomato Juice!”

RING TALK RADIO WITH NAVARRO & “DOUBLE R!”

Besides Jose Navarro, my guests on Sunday night included President Lyndon Johnson, Senator Dick Russell, and www.BoxingScene.com’s Rick Reeno.  The 36th President, Johnson is heard discussing retired Referee Mills Lane.  This is taken from an Oval Office tape from September 1964.  LBJ also tells Russell that “I don’t believe it either,” this after Russell, a member of the Warren Commission says the “Single Bullet Theory” that is supposed to have felled President Kennedy and Governor Connally is impossible!  In hour #2, I had fun with a caller that was defending Rocky Marciano to the hilt, this after I drilled the Rock!  Hit this link to listen NOW http://www.universaltalknetwork.com/arch_ringtalk.html
