Reliable sources have advised BoxingScene.com that a light heavyweight clash between unbeaten Sullivan Barrera (15-0) and once beaten Vasily Lepikhin (17-1) is close to being finalized to take place on the Sergey Kovalev-Nadjib Mohammedi undercard.

The card will take place in July 25th at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. HBO will televise the main event and the light heavyweight co-feature between Jean Pascal and Yunieski Gonzalez.

Barrera last fought in January when he stopped faded former champion Jeff Lacy. Lepikhin last fought in March when he suffered his first career loss, dropping a decision to tough veteran Isaac Chilemba.

Both fighters are promoted by Main Events.
