Panamanian lightweight Barnie Argüelles improved his record to 5-0 when he scored a TKO win over Leovigildo Siris Thursday night at the Fantastic Casino La Doña in Panama City, Panama. Leovigildo had been knocked down two times before referee Abdiel Barragan waved the fight off at 1:49 into the second round of a fight scheduled for four.

Bantamweight Fredy Pengally also remains unbeaten after stoping Euribiades Villar by TKO at 1:18 in the fourth and final round. The scorecards were barely in favor of Euribiades when they entered round number four of the exciting fight. Pengally landed strong combinations on Villar´s face forcing him to step back to the ropes where he got caught with two more punches before referee Barragan decided to stop the action.

Veteran female featherweight Migdalia Asprilla (5-1) won by TKO over debutant Osiris Renteria at 1:06 of the first round.

Female flyweight Maribela Smith scored his second victory in less than a month of pro career by escaping with a split decision on her favor. Judges Jesus Aleman and Victor Simmons scored 39-37 for Smith and Fernando Murray 39-37 for her opponent Doris Asprilla (0-2).
