Arnold Barboza (25-0) has been patiently waiting for a shot at a world title. The unbeaten super lightweight contender is ranked in the top five by both the WBC and the WBO.

The WBC and WBO titles are held by Jose Ramirez while the WBA and IBF titles are possessed by Josh Taylor. The two warriors will clash on May 22nd in Las Vegas with the winner becoming the division's undisputed champion.

After the dust settles, the victor is likely to drop all of the titles and look to a high profile showdown against WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford, which is going to be far more lucrative than fighting one of the multitude of mandatory matches that will become due.

Like Ramirez and Taylor, Barboza is also promoted by Top Rank.  He expects them to put on a great fight and hopes to fight for one of the titles after they become vacant.

"I think it will be a really good fight. I am excited just for them to get it over with to be honest.  I really don't care who wins. I just want them to get it over with because right now everyone at 140 is pretty much in line because they have all the belts. We are all waiting on those belts. I want the winner but if he doesn't want to fight we will fight anyone else to win one of those titles. I don't care who the opponent is," Barboza told BoxingScene.com.

Barboza picked up victories over Tony Luis and Alex Saucedo last year to help him move up in the ranking.  He hopes to have his next fight announced in the near future and then the 29-year-old hopes to finally get his title shot.

"Trust me man, we have been trying to get a date.  We are just waiting on Top Rank to give us a date but it looks like it might be in July.  We have just been staying in the gym because you never know when you will get the call," said Barboza.
