PHOENIX, Ariz. – Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez and Juan Francisco Estrada made weight on Friday morning at the official weigh-in for their WBC super-flyweight title fight on Saturday at the Footprint Center.

Both were at the limit of 115lbs  at a weigh-in conducted by the Arizona Boxing & MMA Commission behind closed doors at a downtown Phoenix hotel, multiple sources told Boxing Scene

A so-called ceremonial weigh-in is scheduled for later on Friday at an old building in the warehouse district south of the Footprint Center.

The 24-year-old Rodriguez (19-0, 12 KOs), a fighter from San Antonio, is favored to beat the 34-year-old Estrada (44-3, 28 KOs) – the son of a Mexican fisherman who grew up in Puerto Penasco, a town around 215 miles south of Phoenix.
