Lightweight prospect Bahodir Mamadjonov (16-1, 11 KOs) has been released from his contract with Don King Promotions. Mamadjonov's manager Ken Richardson said the agreement was mutual and cordial.

A native of Uzbekistan, Mamadjonov, 26, averaged a fight every seven weeks between May of 2011 and April of 2013. He signed with DKP after upsetting previously undefeated Angelo Santana (14-1, 11 KOs) via ninth round TKO on Showtime last April.

But his activity level dropped since then, having fought only three bouts in the last year. As a free agent, Mamadjonov hopes to resume his hyper-hectic fight schedule.

Richardson said he intends to market Mamadjonov and undefeated heavyweight Akhror Muralimov (15-0, 12 KOs), also of Uzbekistan, both as a package and individual entities.
