The World Boxing Council has ordered a junior welterweight final eliminator between Selcuk Aydin (26-2, 19KOs) of Turkey and Viktor Postol (24-0, 10KOs) of Ukraine. The winner would become the mandatory challenger to current champion Danny Garcia.

Aydin had been a welterweight for most of his career, but back to back defeats, to Robert Guerrero and Jesus Soto Karass, made the Turkish boxer rethink his career strategy and he moved down to junior welterweight in January. He won three straight at 140-pounds and holds the WBC Mediterranean title.

Postol fought in Ukraine for the majority of his career. He did make his American debut in December 2012, scoring a first round stoppage in Inglewood, California. Last October he defeated former champion DeMarcus Corley and in March of this year he won a twelve round decision over Hank Lundy to capture the vacant WBC International title.
