At the Straubinger Exhibition and Event GmbH in Lower Bavaria, Germany, well known super middleweight Avni Yildirim (16-1) won by knockout over Attila Korda (13-7) after a one-sided fight.

Turkish fighter, Yildirim, started ambitious and willing and used his jabs effectively. He controlled the bout from the first minute until the first round KO. Yildirim was fresh and strong during the bout. Mr Robot seems enthusiastic for his return to the top level again.

Yildirim’s famous manager Ahmet Öner claimed that “this fight is just a little step to go further. "

Oner does not want to say anything until Yildirim beats someone significant. He revealed that Yildirim is still young and has a future in front of him. They won’t give up from their goals. Öner did state that their ultimate goal of Avni coming back to mandatory position in WBC at the end of 2018.

Yildirim recently suffered a knockout loss against Chris Eubank Jr. on October 7th as part of the World Boxing Super Series tournament at 168-pounds.

The 26 year old boxer still holds the WBC International belt and wants to gain a crack at the full belt by next year.

Yildirim’s next opponent will be experienced “Black Lion” Derek Edwards (27-7-1) on March 3rd in Germany.

Edwards’ sensational knockout of Badou Jack was a major upset when it went down, but since then he's been unable to gain wins over Lolenga Mock, Erik Skoglund, Gilberto Ramirez and Andre Dirrell.

The Las Vegas based Edwards told the press -  “I’m looking forward to March 3 with great intensity, I've already started training, lightly, then in early January I will be in heavy training”.

“I’ve seen many fights on TV over the years televised from Germany in front of huge enthusiastic crowds, and I look forward to being my aggressive self against Yildirim for great boxing fans of Germany. “
