Undefeated World Boxing Association super welterweight champion Austin Trout (22-0-0) is requesting a boxing night of champions to help raise money for the people of Japan. He is requesting that world champions Miguel Cotto, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, and Cornelius Kanine Bundrage all take part in the event.

"As a world champion I feel like we should be an example to others. The people of Japan had no control over the destruction that took place. First there was an earth quake, then a tsunami, and after that a partial meltdown. The news is saying that there are millions of people in Japan without food or water. I just want to step up and do my part.

I am proposing a night of champions which would include Miguel Cotto, Saul Alvarez, Cornelius Bundrage, and me. It would be one night, four champions for a good cause. We can make it into a pay-per-view event and donate a percentage of the profit to the people of Japan. If we are in a position to make a difference, we should. With all due respect, I am asking for the champions named to help me make this possible."
