Home Depot Center, Carson, California - WBA "regular" junior middleweight champion Austin Trout (25-0, 14KOs) outboxed Delvin Rodriguez (26-6-3, 14KOs) over twelve rounds of action. The scores were 117-111, 118-110 and 120-108.

They fought in a very measured and tactical manner. Neither fighter was spectacular in any of the rounds. Trout landed more of the telling punches. Rodriguez was able to get in some shots during the action. They never exchanged until the final minute of the twelfth and final round, when both boxers decided to let their hands go.
