JACK ASIS IS NOT ONLY WILLING TO FIGHT WILL TOMLINSON, he's also willing to put his IBO Super featherweight title on the line.

Tomlinson's camp has gone public announcing he will headline a card on June 17 which will be televised by channel nine against an opponent yet to be named.

"My manager Brendon Smith asked me did I have any interest in fighting Will Tomlinson not long after my win against Kye Mackenzie," Jack Asis said.

"I said - Sir I fight anyone you think is good for my career, I trust in you as my manager.

"Sir Brendon told me he would reach out to Tomlinson's camp to see if we could make the fight.

"I'm happy to fight Will Tomlinson."

Brendon smith confirmed he did reach out to Tomlinson's camp last week.

"I proposed Jack Asis vs Will Tomlinson," Brendon Smith said.

"I was told they would look at it - but I have heard no more.

In a post on facebook Tomlinson's camp stated: "We had hoped to fight other highly rated Australians but for their own reasons declined the opportunity to be showcased around Australia. An international opponent will be named in the coming days but most likely a Mexican or Japanese will step up to the mark."

"Jack Asis hasn’t declined," Brendon Smith said.

"There is no need to go to Mexico or Japan – call Toowoomba."

Asis is coming off one of the biggest wins of his career - an eighth round TKO win over previously undefeated Kye Mackenzie. For many in the venue on the night - they rated it as a 'fight of the year' candidate.

"Kye Mackenzie was rated by Aus Boxing as the 'Prospect of the year in 2014' and Jack beat him," Smith said.

"It was a great aussie vs aussie match up and everything I see, hear and read in local boxing circles is we need to see more of our own fight each other.

"Jack vs Kye was a brilliant fight.

"I have no doubt Jack Asis vs Will Tomlinson would be the same.

"Whoever wins it would be a crowd pleaser."
