If pressed and asked to choose between Vasyl Lomachenko and Terence Crawford to pick your number one pound-for-pound fighter, who would the man who promotes both choose?

Top Rank's CEO, guides the careers of both boxers. Both of them are under consideration for the top pound-for-pound spot in boxing - and both are in the running for 'Fighter of The Year' honors for 2017.

“It’s a nice problem to have,” said “The Bobfather,” still basking in the glow of his 86th birthday and his ESPN deal, which has TWWL giving more love to boxing since they were showing Australian rules football.

“I once had a similar problem, in theory, when deciding who was the better center-fielder, Mickey Mantle or Willie Mays... it’s the same damn problem, I couldn't figure it out then or now.  They are two really special fighters.”

Arum, who has never in all my years interviewing him ever said, “Well, off the record...” has planted himself firmly on both sides of the fence, and decided not to pick which favored son is dad’s preferred.

We leave it to you, then, readers.

Is Loma your P4P pack leader...or do you prefer Bud’s resume and the fact he has more pro wins tucked into his trunks? Or you maybe have another crown jewel whose shine you feel glimmers brighter than Bud or Loma’s?

In 2017, Crawford (32-0, 23 KOs) unified the entire junior welterweight division with a third round knockout of undefeated Julius Indongo to unite the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO titles in July. And back in May, he stopped Olympic gold medal winner Felix Diaz.

For his part, Lomachenko (10-1,8 KOs) easily dominated three overmatched opponents, as he proved to be way too much for the likes of former champion Jason Sosa, Miguel Marriaga and more recently, two-time Olympic gold winner Guillermo Rigondeaux.
