In the wake of Manny Pacquiao's seventh round stoppage of Lucas Matthysse to capture the WBA "regular" welterweight title this past weekend in Malaysia, there is now renewed talk of 'the Pac Man' facing the likes of Vasyl Lomachenko, who holds the WBA's lightweight title. And there is also chatter of him facing WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford.

When asked about these possibilities, promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank (who for years promoted the Filipino star and now handles Lomachenko, Crawford) told BoxingScene.com on Monday afternoon:

"I have to go over and speak with (Pacquiao). I have to speak with him about Lomachenko, I have to speak to him about Crawford. I have to speak with him and see what he wants to do."

For this particular fight with Matthysse it was Pacquiao's company who handled the promotion with Top Rank distributing this fight in the United States.

When asked if he was still involved from a promotional standpoint with Pacquiao, Arum stated - "I have certain rights - but not the same rights as before. But we still have a great relationship. It was my people who helped get this thing on in a sense, it would've been a disaster if they weren't there."

Pacquiao (60-7-2, 39 KO's) scored his first knockout since halting Miguel Cotto back in 2009, a stretch of 14 fights.

"I thought he looked terrific, this is the way he should fight. He's been very, very tentative. Matthysse didn't put up much of a fight but he was the old Manny as far as how he was moving and hitting from different angles," said Arum.

There are still some lingering issues as it relates to Pacquiao returning to the States to fight, namely his tax issues. But Arum says - "I think the IRS problems are being sorted out as we speak."
