The Chechen Wolf has once again devoured his prey.

Arthur Biyarslanov continues to storm through the early stage of his promising career, his latest hit coming in a first-round knockout of Issouf Kinda. A right hook put Kinda down for the full ten-count, with the fight ending at just 1:06 of the opening round of their junior welterweight contest Friday evening at Montreal Casino in Montreal, Canada.

Kinda (18-6, 7KOs; 1NC) ended a two-year inactive stretch in accepting the dangerous assignment and never had a chance to get out of first gear.

“He’s been out of the ring for a while,” Biyaslanov noted after the quick hit. “I wanted to pressure him in the first round and let him feel my power.”

Biyarslanov did just that, patiently stalking Kinda but making sure the Bronx-based West African journeyman did not have anywhere to run. The 27-year-old southpaw—who represented Russia in the 2016 Rio Olympics—was selective but potent with his power shots, freezing Kinda with a straight left hand.

The power shot was followed up moments later by a right hook over the top, forcing Kindo to slump to the canvas. He never attempted to beat the count, remaining on the deck as the referee reached the count of ten.

Biyarslanov improves to 11-0 (9KOs) with the win, picking up his third straight knockout—all north of the U.S./Canada border.

“I love it here in Montreal. It’s my third fight in a row here,” noted Biyarslanov, who lives in Toronto. “It’s very special. Everyone here in Montreal loves boxing.”

The expectation is to gradually increase his level of competition, though loftier plans are eyed by the red-hot prospect.

“A year from now, a couple of fights I will be ready,” insists Biyarslanov. “My manager Keith Connolly will take care of that.”

The bout aired live on Probellum’s website in select regions (though not the U.S.) and on its YouTube channel. Headlining the show, Cancun’s Yesenia Gomez eyes the fifth defense of her WBC junior flyweight title in a risky assignment on the road versus local hero and unbeaten contender Kim Clavel (15-0, 3KOs).
