Aram Amirkhanyan will make his United States debut tonight as he squares off against Keandre Gibson.

The 10-round bout will take place at the Marriott in Burbank, California.

Amirkhanyan (12-0-1, 3 knockouts), who is originally from Yerevan, Armenia and now resides in the Los Angeles suburb of Glendale, will now be fighting as a welterweight after mostly fighting at 154 pounds in Russia and in the Ukraine.

In his last bout in December 2018, Amirkhanyan overcame a point deduction in the final round to defeat Khuseyn Baysangurov by unanimous decision in a clash of unbeaten fighters. In his previous fight in June 2018, the 30-year-old defeated Stanyslav Skorokhod by split-decision.

Amirkhanyan is trained by Freddie Roach at Wild Card Gym in nearby Hollywood.

Gibson (19-2-1, 8 KOs) knocked out Joel Juarez in the opening round of his last bout on June 28. In his previous fight in March 2018, Gibson was knocked out in round 2 by fringe contender Eddie Gomez.

The 29-year-old, who is originally from Saint Louis, Missouri and now resides in Las Vegas, faced former world title challenger Antonio Orozco in April 2017, losing by knockout in round 4.

“This is the perfect blend of show that I love to produce,” said promoter Steve Bash, founder of Bash Boxing. “It has a great combination of world class fighters on the verge of making the leap to title contention, touted prospects on the cusp of breaking out, and up-and-coming fighters who are making their pro debuts looking to cement their space in the sport. With a win, a guy like Amirkhanyan or Gibson can immediately become a top-15 ranked fighter by any major sanctioning body and be destined for a world title fight soon.”

Unbeaten welterweight Vlad Panin (7-0, 4 KOs) will square off against Moises Fuentes (4-1, 1 KO) of Los Angeles in a six-round bout.

Panin, who is originally from Belarus and now resides in Los Angeles, has won his last two bouts by decision after stopping his previous two.

Middleweight Steven Pichardo (6-1, 1 KO), who resides in the Los Angeles suburb of Gardena, will square off against Rowdy Legend Montgomery (6-2-1, 4 KOs) in a six-round bout.

Six more bouts will round out the card. FOX 11’s Pablo Alsina and Manouk Akopyan, who writes for the Los Angeles Times and Boxingscene, will call the action from ringside for a regional network.
