Gothenburg, Sweden - On Friday night, former EBU champ and two time world title challenger Anthony Yigit (24-2-1) was scheduled to begin his comeback after the stoppage loss to Rolly Romero and he was, as of yesterday, all set to take on Czech journeyman Miroslav Serban (13-7) in a six rounder made at welterweight at the Bulldog Fight Night.

However, during the night Yigit fell ill and was forced to pull out.

Light heavy debutant Costas Nanga made his pro debut and stopped Serbian Dusan Stojanovic (1-7) at the beginning of the second round. Stojanovic was floored in the first and retired with what seemed like a claimed shoulder injury. Nanga is trained by Luis Lagermann, who was with the Angelo Dundee / Gary Trevett team back in the day.

The show, a big mixed MMA, Muay Thai and pro boxing event, went full speed ahead and in boxing super middleweight Hamza Barka (3-1) won a close four decision over Albanian Marius Skuqi (0-3) in a messy fight that the visitor seemed to edge.

Female super welter Marianne Ahlborg (5-0) stopped inept newcomer Lili Jumali in the second when Jumali's corner girl wisely threw in the towel.

Ahlborg will now challenge for the vacant EBU title against Priscilla Peterle in France in February.
