Anthony Joshua has invested in a new state-of-the-art boxing gym.

The heavyweight world champion, who defends his IBF title against America’s Eric Molina on December 10 at Manchester Arena, exclusively live on Sky Sports Box Office, has put his weight behind BXR.

The luxury boutique facility, which is members-only, will open in Marylebone London next month.

It will feature top-of-the-range equipment, a sound system akin to something you’d see at a club in Ibiza and it will also boast an outlet of Joe and the Juice.

An in-house medical clinic will also feature as part of the new gym on Chiltern Street, consisting of three treatment rooms.

“BXR is a passion project for me,” Joshua (17-0, 17 KOs) said when revealing the details. “I want people to train like I train.

Joshua said that the best coaches, medical teams and equipment in the business have been pulled together for this venture and they will all be available for anyone who wants to join.

“I spend the majority of my life in the gym,” the 27-year-old Watford man continued, “so I know what is required to make a truly great one.

“I was absolutely blown away by the passion and enthusiasm of the BXR team to create something that does not currently exist in London.

“This is a truly unique offering and what is more it is in the heart of London. I can’t wait to kick off my London sessions at BXR."
