BoxingScene.com understands that the super featherweight fight between Anthony Cacace and Ryan Garner has been cancelled after Cacace suffered a wrist injury in training.

The fight was due to be part of Queensberry’s Magnificent Seven show which takes place at Manchester’s AO Arena on November 18th.

Former British champion, Cacace (21-1, 7 KO’s), successfully defended his IBO 130lb title in May, outpointing Polish challenger, Damian Wrzesinski, whilst the highly rated Garner (14-0, 8 KO’s) has finally began to consistently show the form that made him one of the country’s most exciting prospects when he turned professional as an 18 year old.

The injury is another significant blow for Belfast’s Cacace, 34, who has been plagued by bad luck and inactivity throughout his career and for the ultra talented Garner who finally had some real momentum behind him after a stop start few years.
