Alfredo "El Perro" Angulo will be an interested observer of Saturday night's WBC super middleweight showdown pitting the champion Anthony Dirrell against David Benavidez.  The fight will serve as the co-feature bout in chief support of the FOX pay-per-view main event pitting Errol Spence against Shawn Porter in a welterweight unification.

The 37-year-old Angulo, fresh off of his big upset victory over Peter Quillin, will be in attendance at the Staples Center in Los Angeles to catch the action live.

Benavidez previously held the title but was stripped when he tested positive for cocaine.  Dirrell captured the vacated title shortly thereafter but will be a sizable underdog against Benavidez.

Angulo agrees with the odds and believes that Benavidez will be too much for Dirrell.

"The truth is I think that Dirrell has a lot of heart but doesn't really stack up against Benavidez. Benavidez is young and strong. I think it will be a great fight but Benavidez should win that fight. He is on a different level," Angulo told BoxingScene.com.

As for his own plans, Angulo said that after taking a break, he will look to turn his win over Quillin into a title shot. He also said that he feels rejuvenated fighting under the guidance of Abel Sanchez and that he will continue to bring his fan friendly style into the ring every time he fights.

"Hopefully I can fight for a title.  Just remember than whenever you see the name Alfredo 'El Perro' Angulo on a fight card, you know that it will be a great fight and I think the fans got another great fight in my last fight," Angulo stated.
