Welterweight Angel Hernandez (15-11-1, 12 KOs) defeated Ahmad Cheikho (11-5-2, 6 KOs) by a third-round TKO at Cicero Stadium located just outside of Chicago, IL. The bout was the main event of Chicago Fight Night 4 presented by Chicago Fight Club promotions.

Both boxers were swinging with authority from the sound of the first bell, but it was Cheikho who landed a hard left hook upstairs to drop Hernandez in round one. Hernandez beat the count and the action resumed although the exchanges were increasingly turning into clinches throughout the second round.

The brawl continued in the third round as Cheikho was seemingly in control. One punch made the difference as Hernandez landed a crushing right hook to the face of Cheikho, dropping him hard. Cheikho slowly rose up but was still on wobbly legs. He nodded that he was okay to continue, but referee Gerald Scott called off the contest at the official time of 2:59.

In the co-feature, middleweight Osumanu Adama (22-3, 16 KOs) stopped Doel Carrasquillo (17-25-1, 14 KOs) after six rounds of action. Adama circled the ring and threw out his jab for majority of the contest. As each round passed, Adama continued to land his punches upon his overmatched opponent. Eventually, Carrasquillo was done as he did not come out after round six.

Also on the card, welterweight Ahmed El Mousaoui (17-1-1, 5 KOs) earned a second-round TKO after Trenton Titsworth (6-17-2, 2 KOs) refused to come out for the second round at the time of 0:01.

Plus, welterweight Ed Brown (3-0, 3 KOs) scored a first-round TKO over Ronnie Fuentez (0-4). Brown knocked Fuentez down three times before referee Lou Hall ended the contest at the time of 1:40.

Also, welterweight Alex Martin (2-0, 2 KOs) defeated Andrew Kato (0-6) by a first-round TKO. Martin came out swinging and dropped Kato twice before referee Pete Podgorski had seen enough and halted the bout at the time of 1:14.

In addition, lightweights David L. Diaz (2-0-1, 1 KO) and Greg Coverson Jr. (3-6-1, 2 KOs) fought to a four-round majority decision. The scores were 39-37 for Coverson and 38-38 twice.

The scheduled bouts of Rico Hoye vs. Dante Craig and Carl Davis vs. Johnnie White were both cancelled.
