Angel Fierro views this weekend as a springboard toward the lightweight elite.

The streaking contender is set for his scheduled ten-round regional title fight versus Uruguay’s Eduardo Estela. Both boxers made weight for their DAZN main event, which airs live Saturday evening from Polideportivo Juan S. Millan in Culiacan, Mexico.

Tijuana’s Fierro (20-1-2, 16KOs) was 134.4 pounds for his first main event on the platform. Estela (14-1, 9KOs)—who is managed by legendary former welterweight titlist Marcos Maidana—was 134.2 pounds for his third straight fight on the road after having fought primarily in Uruguay and Argentina.

Fierro is unbeaten in his last five starts, though it also includes a ten-round draw to former title challenger Juan Carlos Burgos last March 5 in his adopted hometown of San Diego, California. The 24-year-old rebounded with a sixth-round knockout of Philadelphia’s Jeremy Cuevas on an October 22 DAZN show from Mexico City.

Estela has won four in a row since his lone career defeat. It came in an eighth-round knockout to Mauricio Lara, Fierro’s promotional stablemate with BXSTRS Promotions who has since claimed the WBA featherweight title.

Below are the weights for the rest of the DAZN undercard (Saturday, 8:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. local time).
