On Saturday night undefeated heavyweight prospect Andy Ruiz Jr. improved to 25-0 with a workman like unanimous decision victory versus faded former titlist Siarhei Liakhovich in the main event of the latest edition of UniMas's Solo Boxeo series.

Liakhovich is way past his prime and many were surprised that he made it to the final bell. Ruiz pressed the action in the 2nd round as he looked for the knockout and admitted to BoxingScene.com that he had fractured his right hand.

"I f***ed up my hand really bad in the 2nd round. I felt like I couldn't do anything bro. Thankfully its just fractured and not broken," said Ruiz.

The 25-year-old Ruiz went 10 rounds for the first time in his career. He said that fighting with one hand was a good learning experience.

"I wasn't tired, but I was in so much pain.  I only had one hand to do work with but I pulled it out and got the win," Ruiz told BoxingScene.com. "I already knew I could go ten rounds but with my hand messed up it was hard but I did my best with it."

Andy Ruiz is likely to return on March 7th in Macau, China on the undercard of Zou Shiming's next fight.
