Polish heavyweight contender Andrzej Wawrzyk (33-1, 19 KOs) is looking to chin check World Boxing Council [WBC] heavyweight world champion Deontay "The Bronze Bomber" Wilder (37-0, 36 KOs) in their upcoming title fight.

Wilder is set to defend his title in his home state for the fourth time, against Wawrzyk, in the headliner of a big night of boxing as part of the next edition of Premier Boxing Champions on FOX and FOX Deportes - on Saturday, February 25, from Legacy Arena at the BJCC in Birmingham, Alabama. Televised coverage begins at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

Wilder returns for the first time since suffering hand and bicep injuries during his eight round stoppage win over Chris Arreola in July, which was also televised by FOX.

Wawrzyk is very excited about the fight. He realizes the contest will be very tough, but he's planning a very specific strategy to walk away with Wilder's title, and he does not expect the fight to go the distance.

"I'm excited because I will fight for the title of one of the most prestigious associations in the world. I am happy like a child who got the perfect gift," Wawrzyk told Sport.pl.

"[If defense was] his Achilles' heel, he would not have so many victories on his record. Certainly defense is his weak point. It certainly will not be a fight that will be decided on points. The opportunity for me will be a situation when Wilder starts his big punches. He throws very fast [shots], but sometimes [he leaves himself open] and then I have to take a chance."

"He is one of the most hardest punching boxers in the world. He has a tremendous force. Anyway, this force does not do well for his bones. Wilder broke his hand after the fight with Chris Arreola, and he's already had several similar injuries."
