Russian mortgage tycoon Andrey Ryabinskiy, who also serves as a vice-president of the Professional Boxing Federation of Russia and works as a notable promoter (Alexander Povetkin, Denis Lebedev, Rakhim Chakhkiev, Grigory Drozd and others), addressed some notes and comments to the Russian sportive media (R-Sport, Championat, TASS).

On Povetkin’s weight class: “Alexander is quite successful in his present weight. Wladimir Klitschko is a great and heavily respected fighter, but he has lost thrice, and those were heavy losses. But he has never lost his recognition of a true boxing champion. Alexander has lost just once, and people start writing him off. What for? He has lost just once, he has lost to Klitschko, and he has lost on points. Sasha is absolutely an elite fighter in the heavyweight division. There’s no reason for moving down in weight”.

On the outcome of the Charr fight: “I think that Alexander will stop Charr late in the fight. I’ll root for Sanya, but I can tell you that Manuel is a very live, honest and pleasant man, who brings up only positive emotions. But this time I’ll root for Sasha.

Charr is known for his conditioning, spirit and fine technique. I won’t say he is a gift opponent for Povetkin. He hasn’t lost outside of Vitali Klitschko, when he was stopped on a cut. He is a dangerous foe”.

On the lawsuit against Don King for failing to deliver Guillermo Jones for last month's rematch with Denis Lebedev: “Indeed, we have started some legal actions in Manhattan Federal Court. And, in my opinion, the subject of this lawsuit is based on objective evidence. As a part of organizational proceeding, our side has done everything according to the signed agreement. WBA approved our actions, ruled out their correctness and suspended Jones. However, a financial question has not been resolved in this ruling. We are rock solid about our position and our point of view. 2.4 million dollars isn’t exactly a terrific amount [to sue for], but this is about principles”.
