Frank Warren, promoter for undefeated super middleweight contender Zach Parker, says his boxer is confident of victory in the upcoming showdown with Demetrius Andrade.

Andrade, a two-division world champion, will be heading up to super middleweight to face Parker for the vacant interim-WBO title.

The winner position himself to challenge the full WBO champion, Mexican superstar Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez.

On Thursday, Warren outbid Andrade's promoter, Eddie Hearn, to secure the promotional rights to Andrade-Parker.

Warren is going to stage the fight at Pride Park in Derby, England. The exact date is still being worked out.

Andrade has fought overseas in the past. In 2017, he traveled over to Germany to defeat Jack Culcay to win a twelve round split decision, and the WBA's 154-pound 'regular' title, on hostile ground.

"Zach Parker will get home advantage for his big night against Demetrius Andrade after we won the purse bid to stage the super middleweight clash. Now we are looking to put the WBO ‘interim’ title fight on at Pride Park - the home of Parker’s beloved Derby County. This is going to be a very tough fight for unbeaten Parker against former WBO middleweight champion Andrade," Warren told Daily Star.

"The American will bring over an unblemished record and a reputation for being hard to beat. But Parker is confident he can cause the upset and put himself right in line for a shot at undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez.

"On Thursday, the purse bids took place and yet again Queensberry Promotions sealed the deal. We put in a bid of $1,834,050 (£1,372,378) and beat Matchroom Sport, the other bidders, who submitted an offer of $1,750,00 (£1,309,087)."
