“Let’s get poppin’!”

Those words will be the last that you hear prior to the opening bell for tonight’s DAZN-streamed main event between unbeaten middleweight titlist Demetrius Andrade and Maciej Sulecki. Veteran referee Eddie Claudio will bring his signature catchphrase to New England as the Brooklyn-based official has been tabbed as the third man for tonight’s headliner at Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island.

Claudio—who was born in and currently resides in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn, New York but was raised in the South Bronx—has never previously worked any bouts involving Andrade (27-0, 17KOs) or Sulecki (28-1, 11KOs).

The three judges assigned to the contest are Glenn Feldman, Don Trella and Robin Taylor. Feldman and Trella both hail from Connecticut, while Taylor resides in New York.

All three judges will work for the first time with any bout featuring Sulecki, who has primarily fought in his native Poland and appears in the New England area for the first time in his career.

Meanwhile, Andrade has seen all three judges work his past bouts, but only two of the combined eight actually going to the scorecards. Feldman has worked five previous bouts involving the unbeaten middleweight titlist, including his title winning effort over Walter Kautondokwa last October in Boston, Mass. which he scores 120-104 in favor of Andrade.

None of the other four Andrade bouts worked by Feldman have advanced beyond the second round.

Trella has manned a ringside stool for three prior Andrade bouts, including having worked with Feldman for Andrade’s second pro bout, when he stopped Thomas Joseph in the 1st round of their March 2009 contest. Trella has also worked with Taylor for Andrade’s 4th round stoppage of Eric Marriot in Nov. 2008, marking the second career bout following his stint with the U.S. Olympic boxing team in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Taylor’s lone ringside experience with Andrade is limited to the aforementioned fight she worked with Trella in Nov. 2008. She was among the three judges who had Julian ‘J-Rock’ Williams unseating previously unbeaten 154-pound titlist Jarrett Hurd this past May, scoring 115-112 in favor of Williams.

Feldman has long earned a reputation as one of the sport’s top officials. Saturday will mark his third major title fight assignment in less than two months. He was ringside for unbeaten super middleweight Callum Smith’s title-defending knockout of Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam on June 1 in New York City, and had Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez beating Daniel Jacobs 116-112 in their World middleweight championship fight this past May in Las Vegas.

Trella had an easy night’s work in his most recent high-profile assignment, working as one of the three judges for unbeaten heavyweight Tyson Fury’s 2nd round knockout of Tom Schwarz in Las Vegas. Two weeks prior, his scoring skills were praised in turning in a 95-95 tally in the undisputed lightweight championship between Katie Taylor and Delfine Persoon. Taylor prevailed by majority decision in a 10-round war which could’ve went either way.

Claudio’s most recent high-profile assignment came two weeks ago, working the World Boxing Super Series cruiserweight semifinals clash between Yunier Dorticos and previously unbeaten Andrew Tabiti in Riga, Latvia. Claudio remained on top of the action throughout the night, frequently warning both for excessive clinching and encouraging both boxers to mix it up more and give the fans what they paid to see.

Dorticos ultimately prevailed via blistering 10th round knockout.

Andrade attempts the second defense of his middleweight title, while Sulecki enters his first career title fight.
