Austin “Ammo” Williams (9-0) closed out his 2021 campaign with a 2nd round stoppage victory over Quatavious Cash (14-3-1) on December 4th in Las Vegas.  The fight took place at the MFM Grand as part of DAZN's undercard to lightweight clash between Devin Haney and JoJo Diaz.

It was the first fight for Williams training with world class trainer Kevin Cunningham. They prepared for the showdown at Cunningham’s gym in South Florida.

Williams started off strong and even though some observers feel the stoppage was premature, he had landed several damaging shots.

“Ammo went out and scored a second round  knockout. I was pleased with the final result but there’s still a lot of work to do,” Cunningham told BoxingScene.com.

In March he won an unanimous decision over veteran contender Denis Douglin.

He went 2-0 on the year but Cunningham hopes to get him back in the ring in the very immediate future and would like him to be more active in 2022.

“For sure I want him back soon. He didn’t even break a sweat. I would like to see him fight again as soon as possible,” said Cunningham.
