The war of words has been renewed between WBA/IBF junior welterweight champion Amir "King" Khan, and his division rival, WBA "regular" champ Marcos "El Chino" Maidana. Khan took the first shot, wondering why the critics weren't attacking Maidana for facing Russian opponent Petr Petrov, who Maidana stopped in four rounds on Friday in Argentina. Khan took a lot of heat for his selection of opponent in July, Zab Judah, and wondered why Maidana didn't receive the same treatment.

"By the way, Maidana fought [on Friday] and won by knockout. Well done, but the guy he fought wasn't even [ranked] in the top 50 [at 140]. Why is it when I fought Judah, who was fourth in the world, I got criticized," Khan wondered.

Maidana quickly fired back with a response - "Because you run scared from me, that's why. For the Queen's fans, it's not me [doing the] talking here. She always starts mentioning my name, and I'll always answer every time she does."
