Amir Khan’s social media accounts were hit by a hack attack just days after it was revealed that the Bolton-based boxer is stepping up to 155lbs to fight Saul Alvarez.

Hackers posted explicit images, changed his Twitter handle and hit his Instagram and Facebook pages.

Annas M.A., a private consultant linked to the iboxer, alerted Khan’s fans to the attack and asked them to disregarded the offending posts. The images were swiftly deleted and his handle reverted back to the original one.

The 29-year-old meets Alvarez at the MGM Grand on May 7, the fight took the boxing world by surprise and led to many raised eyebrows.

The 31-3 (19) former world titlist is an underdog going in yet has already been praised for agreeing to meet the Mexican at a higher poundage and on Cinco de Mayo, a Mexican national holiday weekend.
