10-time world champion in seven weight classes and currently the unified world champion at 126 pounds, Amanda Serrano, heads to the city of Cleveland, Ohio, for her showdown of world champions, when she faces the WBC 122-pound world champion Yamileth Mercado this Sunday, August 29 at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

The Serrano-Mercado duel, which is going to have have the WBO, WBC and IBO titles at stake, will serve as the co-featured attraction of a Showtime PPV broadcast.

The main event will feature a showdown between Youtube star Jake Paul and former UFC champion Tyron Woodley.

"I am very happy with the training we did for this fight," said Serrano. "My sister Cindy, once again, gave her body and soul to me in the gym. She was a great help and soon they will see her back in the ring."

Serrano is campaigning at 126 pounds and indicates that she's close to the weight limit for this contest.

"I am only three pounds away from the weight. On Saturday we will knock out the weigh-in without a problem and on Sunday I am going to give all the casual and non-casual boxing fans the best possible show," Serrano said.

"It is important that Yamileth (Mercado) and I are well prepared because we are two Latinas representing women's boxing and there is a lot of weight to carry. I only know that together we can continue to change the game and open doors for future generations to increase the exposure on the big platforms."

Jordan Maldonado, Serrano's coach and manager, indicated that - "Amanda can fight tomorrow if they let her. She has trained 100 percent since she decided to enter boxing 14 years ago. She is in superb condition, but we don't trust that. We remain focused on the plan and let the fans enjoy the beauty of women's boxing and the rivalry between Mexico and Puerto Rico."
