The terms of the fight are longer but the weigh-in process was the same business for Amanda Serrano.

The record-setting seven-division titlist was once again under the limit for a featherweight championship fight. Serrano tipped the scales at a shredded 125.7 pounds for her WBO title consolidation bout versus Danila Ramos, who was a fighting ready 124.6 pounds.

Their scheduled 12-round lineal, WBA, IBF and WBO featherweight championship will headline a DAZN show this Friday from Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida.

Puerto Rico’s Serrano (45-2-1, 30KOs) pushed for the bout to take place over twelve, three-minute rounds, similar to men’s boxing. Women’s title fights are traditionally ten, two-minute rounds unless otherwise agreed by both parties to change the terms. Serrano and Ramos (12-2, 1KO) were on board for the barrier-breaking terms of Friday’s affair.

Ramos makes her U.S. debut as she aims to upgrade her interim WBO featherweight title. The 38-year-old Brazilian—who now lives and trains in Buenos Aires, Argentina—claimed the strap in a ten-round, split decision over Brenda Karen Carabajal on August 18 in her adopted hometown.

The bout will mark the sixth defense of Serrano’s third and current featherweight title reign. The 35-year-old Boricua southpaw has won titles at every weight from junior bantamweight (115 pounds) through junior welterweight (140 pounds) but has settled in at featherweight which has always been her wheelhouse. She became Puerto Rico’s first-ever undisputed champion after a ten-round win over WBA featherweight titlist Erika Cruz on February 4 at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater in New York City.

In her most recent start, Serrano outpointed Heather Hardy over ten rounds in their August 5 rematch at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Serrano has won three straight since her narrow, split decision defeat to Katie Taylor in their historic lightweight championship clash last April 30 in MSG’s main room.
