A day after his fighter received a controversial draw against Victor Ortiz in a FOX televised main event in El Paso, Kevin Cunningham is still very upset with the outcome.

Devon Alexander started very fast against Ortiz and appeared to do enough to win at least 8 rounds. Ortiz pressed the action most of the night but was largely ineffective with Alexander having success with his counter punches.

The judges however saw a much different fight. The final scores were 115-113 in Ortiz’s favor and 114-114 twice for a majority draw which left Cunningham and many fans scratching their head.

“Devon was clearly robbed of the decision. Everybody that watched the fight had Devon winning except for the three judges. Victor spent the night at the hospital not Devon so there's no need for a rematch. Devon took his foot off the gas in rounds 9,10 and 11 but definitely won the 12th,” Cunningham told BoxingScene.com.

“Thurman took his foot of the gas in the final four rounds of his fight with Garcia and still got the decision. We would would love to fight Danny Garcia next!”

Garcia was also in action last night and stopped Brandon Rios in the ninth round of their fight at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. The fight headlined a Showtime tripleheader.

Returning for the first time since dropping a close split-decision to Keith Thurman in a welterweight world championship unification fight in March of 2017, Garcia (34-1, 20 KOs) closed the show in the ninth round of the contest.

The Philadelphia native landed a huge counter right to the chin that sent Rios flat on his back.  Rios beat the count, but was clearly wobbly on his feet, forcing referee Kenny Bayless to halt the contest at 2:25 of the ninth.
