BoxingScene.com caught up with former three time champion Devon Alexander (26-3, 14KOs) shortly after his points loss to Amir Khan last night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Alexander landed a few big punches but wasn't able to follow up on any of them or put many combinations together. Khan did a great job of controlling the distance by using his reach advantage.

"That's correct," said Alexander in agreement. "I couldn't get inside too often. He used his reach advantage.  My punches weren't coming off like I wanted them too."

The St. Louis native said that he fully intends to come back stronger and better than ever after a short rest. He hopes to return in the first half of 2015.

"I'm going to spend some time with my family and enjoy the holidays. I'll be coming back stronger than ever. I definitely have some things to work on too take it to the next level and that is exactly what I am going to do. I want to come back in the spring," Alexander told BoxingnScene.com.
