German heavyweight Alexander Dimitrenko, 41-4, returns to action on September 8 on the Fritz Sdunek Memorial show in Zinnowitz (Germany) against an opponent is to be announced.

Dimitrenko just fought in Atlantic City, where he was stopped in the ninth against Bryant Jennings on August 18.

Off the show is middleweight Sven Elbir, who now will fight Patrick Wojcicki on October 6 for the IBF I/C and German (BDB) titles.

"JEG HAR MISTET ALT" - I have lost everything - screams the headline of Danish paper Ekstrabladet today and the story is about former WBA, EBU, IBO and WBU bantamweight champion Johnny Bredahl, who turns 50 tomorrow (Aug 27).

Bredahl´s downfall started when he was assaulted on an open street in Copenhagen in 2006 that left him with a brain injury, post traumatic stress and depressions.

But there were problems before that as well and in his biography published in 2007 he confessed he had smoked pot for a number of years and still does. There is also the wear and tear from a long boxing career: Johnny turned pro in 1988 and retired in 2006 with a 56-2 record. In his best performances he was among the best seen in this part of the world but he was also a fighter who could turn up cold and then never get untracked.

"Johnny needs professional help and I have tried to help him but he doesn´t want help," says Johnny´s older brother Jimmi, himself an excellent fighter in his day. Jimmi now runs a boxing club in Holbaek and does well. The two brothers haven´t come together since Jimmi turned 50 last year.

While James Tennyson moves ahead to a world title fight against Tevin Farmer - it will be Frenchman Samir Ziani, 28-3-1, and Spaniard Juli Giner, 23-3-1, that will fight for the EBU super featherweight title Tennyson left vacant in what looks like an excellent matchup. The EBU have set September at noon as deadline for agreements or purse offers.
