Rising super lightweight prospect Alex Saucedo (27-0) will step in the ring in what will be the biggest fight of his career thus far on June 30th.  Standing across from him will be former title challenger Lenny Zuppavigna (37-3).

The fight will be televised by ESPN as the chief supporting bout underneath the Gilberto Ramirez-Roamer Angulo  main event WBO super middleweight title fight.

With a victory Saucedo will be very close to earning a title shot.

With newly crowned WBC super lightweight champion Jose Ramirez also fighting under the Top Rank banner, a fight between the two should be easy to make.

"Of course. I am interested in every title. I want to fight the best guys. I think I am ready for those tough fights but let's get this guy out of the way first," said Saucedo who insists that he is focused on Zuppavigna.

"Like I said let's get this fight out the way but we are trying to fight the top guys already. The number one guys in the division is who we are aiming at."

This will be Saucedo's sixth fight under the guidance of world class trainer Abel Sanchez who is best known for his work with WBC/WBA/IBF/IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin.  The 23-year-old has knocked out three of his five opponents under the tutelage of Sanchez and feels that he is a much better fighter than when he first arrived at Sanchez's The Summit Gym in Big Bear, Calif.

"We have been working so much in the gym and just developing and getting better every time. This is a tough opponent but I have to get him out of there so I can be mentioned with the top guys," Saucedo told BoxingScene.com.
