Ghanian super middleweight Habib Ahmed has made no qualms about his plans to take the title back home to Africa after he faces off against Gilberto Ramirez on February 3rd.

The two fighters go hell for leather in the Bank of America Center, Texas. The 25-0-1 (17 KOs) challenger certainly has what it takes to potentially pinch the WBO belt. He has a streak of three knockouts, albeit against lesser opposition than Ramirez has been facing.

Like his opponent, Ahmed is yet to be defeated, but someone has to lose in Texas, and Ahmed is chomping at the bit to send the Mexican packing.

"I have an important message for Gilberto Ramirez," Ahmed told reporters. "I am coming to America to take your title. I am going for the knockout.”

“All of Ghana and all of my fans are going to be so proud, so happy. This is the opportunity I always wanted. I am taking Ramirez's title with me to my homeland”.

Ramirez is the better-known fighter having carved out an impressive record with 36 fights under his belt, 14 of which were won by KO. But he by no means underestimates the task at hand.

"Habib Ahmed is an undefeated fighter with a good knockout record. He is fighting outside of his home country for the first time and that makes him a very dangerous fighter," Ramirez admitted.

"He knows that he has a great opportunity in front of him. I'm going to train even harder than for my last title defence. I think this will be a very good fight.”

"My world title and our undefeated records will be on the line. I'm very motivated and focused on defending and retaining my title for the third time against a good opponent. I want to show the world why I'm the champion in the super middleweight division."
