Croatian heavyweight Agron Smakici (10-0) is scheduled to fight against Oleksy Mazikin (14-12-2) on December 22nd.

Smakici, who is half Kosovan and half Croatian, started his fighting career with MMA and Kickboxing. Many believe that he resembles heavyweight great Wladimir Klitchko and that aspect has made him popular on the streets in Germany. But he think his style is totally different from Ukrainian Legend.

“As a boxing style, I am different from him. I use more combinations. We can say that I am little more of an American style fighter. However if you are fighting you need everything. It would be hard to reach success by doing only one thing that is good. My style attractive for the fans. I can knock out someone in the first or second round. You are going to have fun if you come to watch me.”

After the upcoming bout, Smakici is targeting a showdown with veteran Alexander Dimitrenko who recently knocked out Adrian Granat to hand him his first defeat.

Dimitrenko would be good step up in class for Smakici. He thinks Dimitrenko is a big name and this bout would be pleasant match.

Smakici also revealed his opinion about rising heavyweight Daniel Dubois of the UK.

“I ve watched Daniel. He is big boy but he haven’t fought with anybody yet. I don’t think he has any chance against me.”

Former European and German heavyweight champion Jurgen Blin is coach of Smakici. Blin is known for his fight with heavyweight legend Muhammad Ali.
