Miguel Barragan Gym, San Luis Potosi, Mexico - Adrian “Diamante” Estrella (24-1, 22 KOs) continues to rebuild his career, by gaining a sixth round stoppage of Orlen Padilla (21-6-1, 19 KOs) in a lightweight contest.

Estrella was on the verge of a world title opportunity at the midway point of 2015. He suffered a serious setback after facing Eden Sonsona in May for the vacant WBC silver international super featherweight championship.

In a very shocking upset, Sonsona knocked out Estrella in two rounds. The young Mexican, 23-years-old, regrouped and came back as a lightweight in August.

So far he's gained two wins in the lightweight division and ends the year with a 3-1 tally and all 3 of those wins by knockout.

He hopes to keep working his way up until an inevitable title shot. The current WBC lightweight champion is the very talented Jorge Linares.
