Fifteen years ago Thursday, the first 'ShoBox: The New Generation' broadcast aired.

Friday night will mark the 219th time unbeaten fighters and prospects with a dream will fight on the popular series.

Junior featherweight Adam Lopez will face Roman Reynoso in a 10 round bout at the Foxwoods Resort in Mashantucket, Conn.

The bout will headline a four-bout broadcast on Showtime, which begins at 10 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. PT.

Lopez should be familiar to boxing fans. His fight against Reynoso will mark the fourth time he has appeared on a 'ShoBox' broadcast.

Lopez (15-0, 7 KOs) defeated Mario Munoz by unanimous decision over 10 rounds in his last bout on February 19 in Atlantic City, N.J.

"I've experienced and grown a lot over my last few fights," said Lopez, who resides in San Antonio, Tex. "I've learned a lot about myself and overcome adversity. All my fights on 'ShoBox' have been tough, but I'm hoping for a breakthrough victory on Friday to prove I''m ready to face a contender."

"Reynoso is a tough fighter. We know he swings for the fences. Because he's from Argentina, a lot of people call him a little Marcos Maidana. He's probably the toughest opponent so far, but we're ready for whatever he brings."

Reynoso (18-1-1, 7 KOs) is unbeaten in his last 16 bouts.

"This is the biggest fight of my career," said Reynoso, who will be fighting for only the second time outside of Argentina. "Everything is motivating for me. I want the best for my family, and winning a fight like this can help me get there."

"We are here to exploit Adam Lopez. We're here to upset him."

In eight round bouts:

Late sub Jerry Odom (13-2-1, 12 KOs) will face Julius Jackson (19-1, 15 KOs) in a battle of hard-hitting super middleweights.

Junior welterweight O'Shaquie Foster (10-1, 7 KOs) faces Rolando Chinea (12-1-1, 6 KOs).

In the opening bout, Khiary Gary Pitts (13-0, 10 KOs) will face hard-hitting Ian Green (9-1, 7 KOs) in middleweight action.
