As BoxingScene.com previously reported, promoter Sampson Lewkowicz is putting together the entire undercard for the anticipated event in Argentina on April 27th. Taking place at Estadio José Amalfitani in Buenos Aires, WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez will headline the show with a title defense against Martin Murray. HBO will televise. The entire card, comprised of seven fights, will be shown worldwide.

Lewkowicz along with Lou DiBella and a local promoter from Argentina are staging the event but the three parties agreed that Lewkowicz would be in charge of making the matches on the undercard.

Discussions are ongoing to finalize a welterweight fight between Argentine banger Luis Carlos Abregu (34-1, 28KOs) and Antonin Decarie (27-1, 8KOs) of Canada.

"The tickets for the event will go on sale on the last week of February. Everyone expects the tickets, all 50,000 of them, to sell out in less than a week. Abregu, because he means so much to Argentina, and because he deserves it, will most likely get the shot [to be in the co-feature] but we are in negotiations because there is some kind of promotional dispute and we should have everything sorted out in a few days," Lewkowicz told BoxingScene.com.

Sources in Argentina have told BoxingScene that Abregu will most likely sign a promotional agreement with Top Rank. There are ongoing talks regarding a potential partnership on Abregu between Top Rank and DiBella. The issue, from what I've been told, is that Gary Shaw is claiming two options on Abregu, which he says are stemming from the fighter's HBO televised knockout of Thomas Dulorme last October. Abregu's team are disputing that Shaw has options and the issue is being worked out.
