This past Saturday night in Moscow, noted trainer Abel Sanchez was in the opposite corner as Oleksandr Usyk (15-0, 11 KOs) put on a boxing clinic over his man, Murat Gassiev, in the finals of the World Boxing Super Series cruiserweight tournament.

Usyk became the first boxer at cruiserweight to become the undisputed champion in the four belt era - with the IBF, WBO, WBC, WBA belts around his waist.

With the victory, Usyk became the undisputed cruiserweight champion of the world and there is a lot of talk that he could soon move up to the sports glamour division.

When Sanchez is asked how well he think Usyk will far as a heavyweight, he told BoxingScene.com in a recent interview in Big Bear - "An exceptional heavyweight, I think that 225 (pounds) for him, muscled up, I think his size and mobility is going to give a lot of bigger heavyweights that are slow and sluggish a hard time."

For 12 rounds the heavy-handed Gassiev came nowhere close to corralling the fleet-footed Ukrainian.

"He surprised me on how well he moves for a big man," admitted Sanchez.

"He surprised me with how busy he can stay for 12 rounds but experience - and of course we weren't going to make no excuses before the fight or after the fight - but we knew experience was going to play a big part of it and it did."

While Usyk had a noted amateur run that included an Olympic gold medal in 2012, Gassiev had around just two dozen amateur bouts under his belt before embarking on his pro career in 2011.

''(Usyk's) international experience, being a gold medalist played a big part because he was able to out-maneuver and out-think Murat in the ring and it was an easy decision," admitted Sanchez.
